Traded a 03 explorer for this 97 shirt bed standard cab 4.6 that barely ran, fig start a build post to since I’m just starting on it

How it was when I traded

Got it home a pressure washed it

 

Why it ran like crap

 

E bay shorty was cheaper than buy stock exhaust manifolds

 

eBay cold intake was cheaper that finding a stock air intakes , when I got the truck it had a old k&n cold air intake that was falling apart

 

The lighting wheels was rough and faded bad

So they got painted black

Pin strips and door molding was removed to both was peeling off badly

Quite the transformation, looks like it had a rough life before you got it.

 

yea I would say so, honestly I think someone used it to pull a fifth wheel and work truck had air shocks on the back and it helper springs look like it had a fifth wheel plate mount in the bed from the bolt holes they went all the way through the frame
