I've considered it, it's been awhile since I've got a quote on a set. I'm going to talk to a guy at a body shop and see what he'd charge to paint them. If price is even remotely close it would make more sense to powder coat just for durability.

Not sure why I'm so hung up on the color of the new SE wheels but I like that really dark grey. With that said, it may look black since there is less surface area on the sport wheels vs the SE.

Are you talking about the color wheels I have? Ford calls that color Tarnished. Seems like a odd name. It changes colors depending on the light.

Those are the ones. In that pic they almost have a bronze hue because of the light. I went back through your build thread to look at them at different angles. Back when I had my Sterling grey trucks, the color seemed to compliment itself depending on it's surroundings and lighting....if that makes sense.

Right...my walls in that room are a beige/light brown so I think it picked up the color from the walls.

Seems I read awhile back on the PDForum, that you wanted to be careful about getting solvents on PD. Maybe that would help to remove the coating? I think I'd try on a small spot, it might make a gooey mess.

I used diluted mineral spirits to help take it off the tailgate where it stained the paint. I tried last night and it does make a gooey mess and it just smears. I will use it as a final wipe down to make sure I've got it all though.

Turtle wax bug and tar remover will remove any overspray of plastidip/peelcoat. Also, its clearcoat safe.

Man, you don't get on the forum for like a week and you miss a lot haha. Truck looks great! If you're dropping to aftermarket 18's, have you thought about getting Methods? They'll be a +18 offset in an 18" wheel, vs. the 0 offset in the 17's. I'm thinking of doing the same myself, I don't like my wheels. I'll either get some 17" Methods and remove my front crash bar and do some trimming (I'd rather not), or I'll bite the bullet and order some 18's with new 35" tires (same offset I have now so I'll be good) and sell my current set up.
