More interested in intelligent access first, I just need someone smart to walk me through it, I hate the old fashion key in my truck.

I've started acquiring a few parts here and there...but there has never been a very good thread on it...Or else I've missed it.

Anyway back to BGG's truck.

No no, speak on. Ive never been good at write ups, which is why i've always had someone else do them for me. I will have to think about how to separate it into just intelligent access as Ive done this, but it was centered around push button start, park assist, lane keep, and memory seats etc....sooooo I did many additional steps that may not be required for intelligent access. I just dont know if you can have intelligent access without push button start.

I would assume not because don't you need to have a proximity key for both?

I'm after intelligent access with pushbutton start only, at least at first. We might need to talk over the phone sometime if you're interested. Doing complex stuff like that with emails and over forums can be a real challenge.

If you guys figure it out, I would be interested as well. I want intelligent access and Push Start, but just haven't taken the time to start looking at it. I'd be willing to help do a write up too. Part of my job is writing methods and procedures for large construction projects, so this would be a walk in the park for me.

Its already been figured out but most do not have access to what is needed to perform the necessary perimeter reset in order for the ECU and BCM to talk. Without doing this everything accessory will work, but the truck wont start. lol The password to edit the PATS system is very coveted. Not all Ford techs have access to this password. The only work around is to find a donor PCM, and BCM AND key fob from the same vehicle. It should be the same year and same engine obviously to work. This work around has proven to be difficult. Most salvage yards may have 1 or 2 of the parts, but rarely will they have/keep the matching keys. This is not just a simple upgrade imho because of the security part....but it can be done.

Sorry all.... havent been on much or updated my build log for a while. Super tired as I type this. Beginning of this year I started a new business doing what I love, so I guess I'm no longer retired? Tonight we launched our website, and I realized just how fortunate I really was to be surrounded by so many that have trusted and supported me. Gonna try to sneak in a few winks as it looks like tomorrow will be a super busy day! Out of respect for not being a vendor on our firm, I wont post our website, but I would love for yu all to stop in. If you would like to visit our website, please just send me a DM and I'll share it with you. Thanks, will update this build log soon with fresh content.

Site looks great Lawrence! Very clean and easy to navigate. Top notch work, but then again I wouldn't expect anything less
