Nice looking truck. Something seems off in my opinion though. The wheels look fine but they do (to me) look a little small... Like maybe there is too much tire for a lowered truck?? I don't know. But again it's a sharp looking truck!

I agree with the above "...Like maybe there is too much tire..."

To be honest, I think the stock tire/wheel looked better. Maybe it's the bright chrome wheel or the wheel:sidewall ratio, but something just doesn't look quite 'right' to my eye.

overall looks good though, nice and clean.

Thanks guys I can respect your opinions. I'll be running the 20s at least until I can afford a set of True Forged and get my power levels where I want them. I agree they may look a little small in a sea of 22s and 24s. I mainly went with the 305s because I found 3 practically new for a steal and only had to order 1 new one. If I was ordering 4 new I probably would have went with the 285s.

I wasn't sure about chrome either but I was just personally tired of black wheels and I think keeping the 20" size they don't look as flashy as a 22 or 24.

I wouldn't say it looks "off", but definitely different. Maybe it is, as you said, because all aftermarket wheels these days are 22"+ and flat black. To me, it looks like it belongs at a drag strip (that's a good thing). It reminds me of late model vettes and camaros built for drag racing. They use wheels like that now because the old lightweight 15's won't fit over the big brakes they put on everything now.

Not a fan of the extended cabs dropped. Looks better on regular cabs tbh.

I'll be the odd man out & say that I actually like that there's a bit more sidewall to the tires, gives it an aggressive look to me
Coming from the car world, I'm having a hard time with aftermarket wheels for trucks....All seem to be black or chrome, or covered in bolts/rivets. Doesn't seem to be a lot of 'clean' look wheels. May try to source some of the OE 20s instead.

While these aren't super light they are lighter than most 20's. I think it fits the look I'm shooting for. Ultimately I want a staggered set of True Forged but that will probably be the last purchase after the remaining appearance mods and the engine mods. I'll be starting with the engine soon and getting the rear suspension finished.

I can respect that, I haven't had a single cab in a long time. Almost got one this time but with two kids I just couldn't do it.

The market has shifted big time to cater to the off road world. Even though I've had lots of trucks, deep down I'm a car guy. My last truck was my first lifted one and I tired of it pretty quick. I have a comfort level running these 20s vs 22s.

On another note, I should be taking the truck to Leading Edge soon for some tuning and other things. When I get it back I should have long tubes, Boss or SCJ manifold and a dyno tune. I'm only looking at manifold options because it will probably be a while before I can do a supercharger. Then I'll be waiting on Stifflers to release their 15+ long bars, Calvert rear shocks and talking to custom driveshaft shop.

Have you considered the gt350 manifold? I saw some impressive dyno tests of it.

It's been mentioned. I'm thinking the only way to justify the SCJ or GT350 intake is if I was settled on a Procharger. I don't think the money lost on those two would be worth the investment for a temporary modification. Same could be said for the Boss but it's half the cost and would probably be pretty easy to move if/when I went Whipple or Roush.

I do think the GT350 intake with with a D1SC and headers would be a stout combo.
