I do plan to have a spray in liner soon enough. Just didn't mention it yet. Not overly concerned immediately since rust isn't really an issue.

Installed the jerry can mount. Ordered full RCI skids as well. Level and skids going on tomorrow. Maybe finish my hi lift mount as well...and need to change oil. A lot of work to do this weekend.

If anyone wants my stock FX4 skids, shoot me a PM.

Added 2" level in front and an extra 1" in the rear. Also installed full set of RCI skids this weekend.

That color really pops! I have a 2WD scab, but I love the overlanding scene. Obviously I lack some of the exploring ability, but I'm still building it to get me out of town far enough lol. Got lights set up, recovery equipment, and have a list of mods for camping/ sustainability. OBA and Water system are in the mix, as well as a solar panel on the headache rack.

Truck looks great!

Plenty of 2wd in the overland scene. Sounds like you have a great plan. OBA and water would be awesome. Let me know what you come up with.

Not exactly build related but I got her out to play a little bit at a local off road park. Also ran some wooded trails and did some minor rock climbing. I did have one small mod: crunched the bottom of my passenger side door

I'm new here and recently bought a 2016 F150. It's great to see a fellow overland enthusiast on the forum! I'd love to hear some updates about how the truck is doing, changes etc. I've got a slow build going it would be nice to bounce some ideas off of you.

Feel free to hit me up any time. I recently moved so no major updates in the last few months. Truck is still pretty simple. Level kit, RCI skids, tool box w/ mounts for shovel/axe/jerry can. I just throw my gear in waterproof crates in the bed.

Probably won't do much else until next spring. I'm thinking I'll get a soft topper next year and build a platform in it. Hopefully have that done by my Moab trip next spring but that may or may not happen.

I have been on a few trips in this thing now though and I love how it travels. It's a boat on smaller trails compared to my old Tacoma but everything else makes it so worth it. Went to the Manistee NF, Hoosier NF, and I'm heading to Land Between the Lakes this weekend to do a little exploring.

A few pics from MI traveling:
