2003 f150 6r80 swap?
So I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas I'm about to swap a 6r80 onto the back of my 5.4 2v it is coming out of a 5.4 3v not sure if it is possible to use factory TCM or if I'm just better off going with quick 6 controller

So I have jumped in wallet first 😁 I have a 2013 6R80 out f150 4x4 I have the cross member and mount out of that truck I'm told my transfer case is a direct bolt up we will see, I'm unsure on inspection plate but with some cutting I can probably use one on it already for temp just to get clearances correct. I've ordered a set of cooler line adapters to get off trans planing to try to work into original system, I ordered a quick 6 controller and a autometer rpm adapter. I'm planning on trying to keep everything as concealed and factory-ish as possible for now

It appears everyone is super interested in this thread 🤣🤣🤣. Well anyway I've not come to any decisions but planning to try and use factory cooler lines and just make new connections near transmission. I'm going to check to see if this causes any issues with pressure and the thermostat valve, the factory for 03 is a smaller line but it's also is a recirculation system kinda like a rad. Time will tell. I'm still waiting on some deliveries before she goes on the lift but swap is happening very soon

I have nothing to add other than I hope it works out. It would be nice to see if that trans can work.
I really love my 6r80 in my 2017. Such a smooth shifting, strong transmission. I bet it would really wake up that 2003.

4x4
Yeah so I've got to point and looking like transfer case does not bolt up I've been tracking it and most likely a 4406 case I'm searching for a adapter that will mate the two and will be getting hard numbers off of casings to be sure. I've decided to do a rear main while I'm there I'm fully planning to not rush it, this is my daily work horse and I haul a smaller enclosed trailer just seems like perfect transmission for the job 😁
