These hitches are strictly for sled pulling mainly. I built them to pull 60,000 lbs and not break nor do I ever want them to break just for safety and I dont wanna fix them. Idk I am one that is continuously learning so I will always be attempting something even if I dont know how I will soon after doing it. Forgot to get picks up of steering linkage will tomorrow. As for winches not a whole lot. Why?

Jeez ha it serves a purpose to cover the cancer caused by bad primer. Paint is peeling badly. Now if I had a steel cowl I would remove it since I doubt it really does much to deflect anything.

Well I've had an warn 8000 on the front of my 79 short wide chevy on 44's and it did fine, more so with a ****** block, I also had a warn 9000i and some bastard stole it from me off my land.

Anyways the question I was going to asK is had any feedback, you or friends with the synthetic line? It looks like I can save 20lbs vs the 125' cable and the fair lead vs the aluminum hawse is 13lbs, so that would be 30+ lbs I could take off the total weight of a warn winch on the front of the truck, where its not needed most. Trying to see if it would be worthwhile to do.

Another question, do you or anyone for that matter know if the winch housing is aluminum? I believe it is, if so I'm going to polish it out for bling up front lol

My hood is doing the same exact thing, I found the steel cowl hoods online for around $380.

I am sure the housing is to cut down on weight. I have mag at home that has a review. Ill see if I can find it when I get home after work today. I got like 4 hrs of welding to do after work so I might pass out when I get home...ill see what I can come up with ha.

I dont need to make the hood any heavier. Had enough to push it up as it is.
