Is Realtruck a Scam?

Cancel it and call your card company. Today.
Why? Well, back in February, I bought a gift card from Costco, for a restaurant chain called Brio. $80 for a $100 gift card, a special deal.
I like the place, so we were planning to use the card up as soon as it warms up a little, they have nice outside patio seating.
So today, the local paper has an article about restaurants not re-opening, ever, in Vegas. Brio is one of them, because their company filed for bankruptcy in April.
So if Costco can't make it good, I'm screwed.
Better safe than sorry.

You bought a giftcard for a restaurant, and that correlates to what the OP should do for a supplier of truck accessories how?
Covid 19 is causing businesses to go belly up, with no warning.
The OP says that it is over 3 weeks, and still his item has not shipped.
Knowing what I know now, I would try to save my money. Can your card company get you a refund if the business is closed? Do you want to take a chance, and find out the answer the hard way?
Impact of COVID-19 on Small Businesses
Main Street’s ‘Impact of COVID-19 on Small Businesses’ report reveals that 3.5 million businesses are at danger of permanent closure. Approximately 35.7 million

I placed an order with Realtruck on 4/18, and was charged on my credit card that day. Since Monday of last week, I've tried 5 times to get an order status through the "chat" with no luck. On Friday 5/8, I spoke with customer service and was told the order tracking department would get back to me in 2 business days, No luck. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'll think twice before ordering from them again!

Covid19 didn't prevent them from taking your money...so it shouldn't prevent them from fulfilling their obligations to those charges!
Hate this type of bull****! Take my money? better damwell answer my calls or emails! Or else F U and do chargeback thru credit card company!

Hey, sounds like you're about to get free parts.
Cancel that credit card order for fraud then sit back and wait a few weeks for the truck to show up at your door.
You will ultimately win for their disrespect to you.
"Silence is not acceptable" LOL

Not a realtruck issue but I ordered a catback thru stage3 a few weeks back. Never got a tracking number, I emailed them and they blamed covid. Another week later got the exhaust, dropped shipped from the manufacturer.
Im sure most online "shops" dont actually keep an inventory, but rather share products from distribution centers. So who knows the layers of excuses youll get with thay scenario.....

The companies selling these products often don't have a warehouse at all, or perhaps one devoted to quick moving, smaller items.
Their systems are setup to take the order, process the card, and notify the manufacturer (or distributor) to drop ship to the customer. Shipping status from the drop shipper would then be transmitted back to the online company, and their systems would reflect that status.
When something like a pandemic hits, the system may not be setup to handle it, or the company many not make the needed changes to handle it. The FTC governs when they can charge and when they must ship. They either have to ship within the time stated on their site, or within 30 days if no time is stated. Clock starts ticking when a properly completed order is received. If they don't ship within the promised time, they must notify you and give a revised date and the chance for a full refund, or to accept the revision. If you don't respond to that notice and the dealy is 30 days or less, they assume you'll wait. If you don't respond and the date is 30 days or more, they must cancel it by the 30th day of the delay period. https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/article...r-received.pdf
I can tell you that the maker of many accessories, Truck Hero, is headquartered in Ann Arbor, and Michigan closed all non-essential businesses. They MAY be able to reopen this week as a parts manufacturer, because the auto companies are opening next week. Don't know if they fit that category or not.
Truck Hero brands include ARE, Advantage, BAK, Bedrug, Extang, Husky, NFab, Retrax, Rugged Liner, SuperLift, Truxedo, and Undercover.

I think I’m gonna give RealTruck the benefit of the doubt here. I called CoverCraft directly (the company who makes the dash cover I ordered), and they informed me that the location of the facility that makes these is under a stay-at-home order until June 1st, and even if I ordered through them it would likely be mid-July before the order went out.

OP, what did you order?
Many items through real-truck are so big that they are shipped right from the manufacturer and also via freight (and not ground UPS or Fedex). So you have several factors to chase down, that are all potentially delayed due to lock downs and/or stay-at-home orders by states.
I have ordered from real truck a bunch over the years and never had an issue with them. Odds are the issue is with the manufacturer of your item, but if it's shipped via freight, you may have to look into that angle as well.
