About how long and how difficult would this be for a person who's never worked on a truck before?

Wow... wasn't aware you could get by with a spring compressor with Daystar... How about Autospring?

you mean you didnt think you do this job without a spring compressor?? autosprings doesnt need a spring compressor, none of the leveling kits that are bolted on top of the strut need one to be used when installing them that im aware of and its all the same process

My 2.5" HBS came in today!!! CHRISTMAS COME EARLY!!! - Install on Thursday and Tires on Friday!!!! Pictures to come!

Well POOP! I had a kit in my garage forever thinkin' I needed a spring compressor...

you must not have read there page when you bought it ha thats one of their selling points, no spring compressor needed

That was so long ago... I probably did... It's funny cause I put the tires I wanted after I bought the kit... Just never installed it... 33's fit no problems with 04-08 Crew 4x4... LoL

Default Help!!!

Hey guys New to the Forum, just wondering i got a 3 inch leveling kit from HBS (Hell Bent Steel) and it seems like when i get the extention on and replace eveything the lower strut bolt is extremely hard to get in (pry bar is needed) and all my drive components look like they are under a ton of pressure....will it eventually straighten out when the wheels get on it and its on the ground?

No, It will never straighten out. The CV's will be at a pretty gnarly angle.

Don't forget the alignment or those new 33's aren't gonna last very long.
