Thanks. The does really help. What does "bluer" actually give you as for road light? Is the "bluer" difference between the 6000k and the 8000k that much different? With the8000k putting out slightly less lumens, but being a bit more "bluer" than the 6000k, does that color change make up for the loss in lumens? Can you see better/more with your 8000k?

the 4300's were better for dark driving. the 8000's aren't to bad IMO. They still give me enough light on highbeams to make me happy. The only reason i switched to them was because one of my 4300's highbeam burned out, so instead of tracking down 1 bulb, i decided to try another color. i still have the 4300's and can always thro them in the wifes 08 escape...same bulb as the f150's. i kept my 4300 kit in my fogs tho. i may switch them to 8000 later on. No experience with the 6000's. I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever color you choose. Even Sin's 10000's look like they give off enough light. i have also painted the inside of my lenses, so that seems to have hurt my light output a little to.

I'm thinking 8000k for the headlights (with lightning buckets)and perhaps the 6000k a little later on for the fog lights.

It sounds like you can switch bulbs with the conversion kit without having to change the ballasts. Is that right?

It worked for me..my 4300 kit and 8000 kit were bought from different people. i plugged the 8000's into the 4300 ballasts and they work fine, so i don't see a prob between switching bulbs from the same manufacturer.
