Default Faded, gray, nasty trim?

Untreated tailgate cap.

Finished tailgate cap.
Use a heat gun. Go slow, take your time. I used a 450* heat gun on high setting.

Many people recommend a coat of olive oil wiped over the trim while it’s still really hot so it absorbs it into the plastic. Had I known that before doing this, I would have done it.

Nice. I see people using basically flame throwers to restore faded seats at Arenas and stadiums.
