I'm with everybody else. The nice quiet daily driver ride with power is awesome. First thing I do with my v8s or vtwins for that matter is to put a friggin exhaust on them and salvage any power to be had. This ecoboost, drop a tune in her and shes good to go!Too to many noisemakers in the garage now. Everybody needs some civility in their lives...

If it weren't for those forum antics I really couldn't care less.
Exactly what NASSTY said, We are only defending ourselves after STUPID comments were made or false information was given out. So stop getting your panties in a bunch....

Yes, this ^
I flip through a lot of these threads. More often than not, someone with the V8 comes in to an Eco thread and has to stir the pot.
In the V8 threads its usually the spread of misinformation that brings out the eco owners.

I think it's human nature to think you make the best choise
on anything you do. Buying any of the new engines is a
great improvement IMO!

The Ecoboost DOES have diesel equivalent torque. You can't compare a 3.5 to 6.7!! Double the 3.5 displacement, double the torque, you get 840 ft lbs!! It absolutely is as torquey as a small diesel.

There is nothing special about diesel. Without turbos, they are absolute dogs. The whole bottom line for torque is forced induction; whether gas or diesel.

Only kind of, if you double the 3.5 to get 840lb ft it would use twice the fuel. The thing that is special about diesel is the fuel efficiency. The 6.7 I drove got the same mileage as my ecoboost. While towing the 6.7 would get 3-4 mpg better than the 3.5 all while having a bunch more power. A 7.0 ecoboost would be incredible though, more supercar incredible. 700hp and 940tq lol

While I agree this used to be the case, it seems lately certain EB owners troll the 5.0 threads looking for any excuse to interject about how much better the EB is at everything...
