If i were both of you i would power brake it to 1,800 to 2,000 rpm. That's how i do my 2011 F-150 Supercab 4X4,EcoBoost V-6 and 3.55LS rear end. It's bone stock and has ran a 14.68 at 93.7 mph best 60 ft has been a 2.07.IMO,it's very important to get the rpm's up off the line with small engines heavy trucks with no stall converter.
Later Mark.

3.15 gears SUCK!! No clue why they put them in. Especially in the FX packages which are their sport packages. Idiots I guess.
Irregardless, those are some decent times for a stock truck.

Just got back from running mine today. FX2 super crew with 3.73's (5.0l). Start of the day was a 15mph headwind but when I didn't royally mess up the run (happened twice) I managed 15.41-15.47 sec anywhere from 89.1-90.5mph. My 60' times were no good, only 2.25-2.30. Was still 85 degrees outside today at the track. Had a blast and can't wait for spring with a 91 oct tune and cai/exhaust. Made 7 runs total today and as stated 5 of them were in the times posted above. The 15.41 was with next to no headwind but it wasn't my best 60' either. Was hoping for a 15.3x but there's always next time.

With the tracks at San Diego being so slick, 1100 to 1200 is enough to get a lot of wheel spin. 1500, I'll be stuck at the tree lights doing a burn out.
