Default took my 5.0 to the drag strip today

Very impressed with the results. For a 4 door 4wd truck, 15.2 @ 91mph is very respectable imo. 60' was 2.2 and 1/8th was 9.7 @ 71mph.

Anyone else take there 5.0 recently??

not that my truck will ever see a 1/4 (closest one is 3hrs away I think) but it would be cool if we could have a 5.0 sticky like the EB one. just someplace to post all the 5.0 1/4 times (with slips of course) all in the same place.

That's great for a stock truck. A tune and exhaust will get you in the 14's no problem.

As much as I love my Eco....and I really do, man am I envious when I hear a 5.0 with an exhaust on it go by!

Some day I will own a hopped up V8 F-150 2 door (once the kids are out the house) to fill the void made by the Lightning I never owned!

That's pretty good.

Try running it on E 85. I bet that will put you into the 14s.

I personally think the gasoline tunes would have a hard time matching the performance of this engine running ethanol. After running almost a quarter tank through, I just can't get over how much more power this engine produces with corn juice. With the nanny on, I still can break loose the rear tires taking off and when the truck shifts to second.

Now an E85 tune, that would be beasty!

I went back in july when I first got my truck. Temperature was 98 outside. I ran a 15.3 with a 2.313 60', and 1/8th was 9.911. I've since put a AFE CAI, lowered rear 2" to level it out.(It's a 4X2 no since to me to lift it) And I'm waiting for my Sct tuner to come and I will be running the 93 performance from 5Startuning.com. Also will be putting on a custom magnaflow exhaust. And hopefully the outside temp will be in the 80's then.

Although I will put the exhaust in and run E85 before I tune it just to see what It'll run.

Actually i filled it up with e85 so those times are with e85. I would like to get a tune for it soon. E85 only adds 20hp i heard. I dont think you could tell the difff on 6000lbs lol but thats just me.
