SCT sf3 3015 ecu unsupported
Hi
My truck is 2012 f150 fx4. Recently my truck went to Ford dealer, came back today they said they updated the TSB. When I try to tune with 3015 it says ECU Unsupported.

If the tuner worked prior to going to the dealer, then when they reflashed the truck, they loaded a new strategy code on the vehicle. Usually they just do an update, not replace it entirely.
Also, is the tuner up to date? www.sctflash.com, tech tab, download the SCT Updater program and make sure it's current. ( probably is if using it on a 2012 and worked prior but never hurts to check )

I bought a 3015 a while ago,it's got the latest firmware and tunes installed.
I didn't hook it up to truck as I knew it was going in for tsb on turbo actuators and a reflash last Monday.
When I went to hook up the tuner I got the same result....ECU unsupported
Strategy is KGCH5A8
After waiting on hold with SCT,troubleshooting the unit,and even remotely hooking up with them my truck is indeed unsupported with this new strategy from Ford.
What it means is that the canned tunes will not work,have not been written to this new strategy yet and no eta for it being done.
The strategy is in their system tho for writing custom tunes so if you have custom tunes load em and it should work.
Besides waiting on hold for a long time SCT has been very good to deal with in emails and on the phone.

Yep, it worked before going to dealer. I updated the software from the sctflash site. Still says the same "ECU Unsupported"

Since the reflash truck doesn't seem as responsive down low,more hesitation.
Makes getting the custom tunes a lot easier choice.
