Correct. No need to go back to stock prior as the SCT will have auto saved your OEM tune already.

I will try tuning again in case it didn't take the first time, or maybe I will try one of the other tunes. I'm currently using the 93 Octane Tune (with 93 Octane fuel of course).

Im having this same issue.. i tried 87 91 and 93 .. 91 tune i notice a difference but then after a couple days meh. but the 93 is poorer performance and power then the 91 and i cant spin the tires in ANY of the tunes..:S

Are you turning off traction control before trying to spin tires. The traction control will "retard" your engine as well as apply brakes the more it senses wheel slip.

Well sct got my straightened away today. Downloaded the 91 tune and went for a rip, wasn't impressed to say the least. Came back and installed the 87 oct tune
Either I was expecting way too much or these tunes r not worth the effort. I reloaded the 91 tune again and still no change. Between the heartthrob exhaust and tune u would think the gains would b very noticeable, not the case at all. But I will give it a fair shake, then if it doesn't improve. " bye bye"

And "no" the traction control wasn't on. Lol

Where did you get your tuner from? Custom tunes or the SCT tunes? I suspect the tune isn't not taking hold or something because just about everybody sees a big difference with the SCT tune. Granted, it's not like putting a blower on your car but you should DEF see a difference between stock and tuned.

How long is it taking for it to switch tunes on you?

Innovative diesel, sct tunes. I planned on running their tunes so I went through them. Actually it wasn't right until I was paying for it that i realized the tunes I was getting were sct canned tunes. It's really not advertised that way on their sight. Not a big deal, was gonna get it anyways.

Never really noticed how long it takes, Between 5-10 mins I would say. The status bar was counting up during install.

I must say, this is the first tuner that I've had where it directs u to turn the key back off during some of the install. The tune download is done with the key in the on position.

Try loading the same tune back to back ( like 91 or 93 ) and then going for about a 10 - 15 mile drive and see how it feels after that. 99% of the time the tune takes hold immediately but I've had a couple customers where the adaptive learning didn't take immediate but once they got a couple miles in, saw a big difference. Worth a shot...

Mine did that exact thing. Loaded the 93 5star custom tune, went to the highway and took off from a dead start and didn't notice much. Got me nervous. Then got to a stop light about 10 miles later and holy smokes was there a difference!
