Called again today.
They have not looked at it yet.
Once they get a “break in the action” they will diagnose it and let me know.
Had it towed in 5/2 today is 5/6
No loaner cars available.

They still have not looked at it yet.
They said maybe tomorrow.
They service guy told me that the cars that were bought there get serviced first.
I feel like they have my by the *****.
Maybe I’m over reacting.

They just called for some details.
I also told them about the driver speaker cutting out, and the “service advance track” light that comes on intermittently.

Called for an update, oil pressure sensor was bad, it’s fixed,
Front driver speaker cutting out, ordered a new wiring harness, should be there tomorrow to fix
Advance track software was updated and should solve my random “service advance track” warning.

Truck is done, waiting for me to pick it up.
I remembered when I bought my edge there three weeks ago that they picked up my wife to finish the paperwork a couple days later. I mentioned to the sales guy that it was pretty cool of them and he said it’s a service the offer, if we need them to pick the car up for service they can do that.

So, I called the dealer and asked if they can drop of my truck, they act surprised I even asked and said no. So then I reminded them what the sales man said. He put me on hold for 5 minutes and came back and told me they need two guys to do it and one of them is out sick.

They could have just said, I didn’t buy the truck there so I’m out of luck, no, they had to lie.
I’m not one of those people that are never happy, I just expect more from the dealer then what they provided this go-around.

Shady dealer.

The weird thing is the gauge will bounce from low to high in a matter of 2 seconds. Is this a computer thing? I also checked the oil level and things were A-1 under the hood?

Thanks for the help guys!!

sorry to bring back such an old post but Im dealing with this right now. Did my research and checked the sensor, it was leaking oil between the plastic and threaded area of the sensor. seemed like i found it. replaced sensor and took it for a drive, seemed fine for a while then finally got me at a stop light, same thing, barely any throttle input and it disappears. some one asked if i cleaned the connections after i replaced the sensor, i did not. So yesterday i go buy some electrical cleaner, pop the plug off clean everything really good and take it for a drive. everything is going great then bam, get it again. i only got it twice in the 30 minute, one time it corrected itself. This brings me to today. Drove it to work so our mechanic can look at it, and of course, it doesnt act up. runs perfectly fine. i even sat there talking to him with the truck in D and foot on the brake like a stop light for 13 minutes, no light. He says he would diagnose it as electrical(hes our fleet mechanic).

My question to anyone who had it diagnosed as the oil pump did you guys hear anything, did the truck run any different?

My truck is running like a champ, no noises, no ticking no anything. Just randomly getting the alert.

Thanks

I just got my 2014 5.0 back from the dealer....they changed the oil pressure sending unit but did not fix the problem....they told me that it would be over 20 hours of labor to check the oil pump and that it wasn't worth it. I was told to drive it until it dynamites itself ! maybe tomorrow, or a few years!
150,000 km and I just four months ago dropped 15 grand to buy out the lease. What I friggin joke.

sorry I forgot to include the original post. oil pressure drops off at idle once warmed up.....touch the gas and the pressure jumps back up to normal.

I know it's been 8 years since you posted, but do you remember about how much it was to fix?
