Yeah when I contacted injen they said they had a few customers with 2012s and the old MAF. Mine was a fairly early build (fist 2012 at dealership) and has new style. So I must have just been past the cut off.

The 11 had a air temp sensor and used infront of and behind air throttle body psi sensors. Another Ford Edsel probably needing to be changed out. The new is a 4 wire Maf. Maybe the new Ford Patented one.

Anybody want to buy an Intake for a 2011 I guess it's useless to me now?

Just pack it up and return it. It's their fault it doesn't fit.

new sensor is probably a maf/iat or some combination sensor

I would but it's not "brand new" so to speak, I had it on my 2011 for 3k miles before getting the 12

Think you can list it here if you use a sheet of paper with the date on it showing in the picture with your name. Believe if the sensor was a maf/iat it would have 6 wires instead of 4. That will probably be the 12 ta 13 model EB. Never can tell.

It has a MAP Mass Air Pressure sensor.
