Default Injen Won't Work on 2012

Went to put the Injen on my 2012 and looks like Ford is becoming more serious about us NOT modifying the trucks. They changed the design of the MAF so basically I think the intake is useless I could buy a MAF off of a 2011

Yep 2012 changed it up. If you look at a sale thread made by AJUSA.com in December and he indicated the same thing that none of the intakes would work for 2012 models. I'm sure someone will make one that will work, but not just yet.

Wow, that sucks for the aftermarket community! I am sure that isn't what drove it though, having to provide different parts every year would be expensive.

I imagine the intakes that are essentially an open filter would still work. I am thinking of getting one once I get my truck. With the intent to keep it for awhile, I will be more likely to mod my new one.

That connector on the 2011's probably gets bumped and busted because they stick out, the new one looks to be more compact and have less leverage/reduced risk of bumping/breaking doubly due to its new position.

The 2012 looks to be a 4 wire sensor where the 2011 is a two wire sensor. Not just the location changed, the sensor changed too.

Either way intakes don't do crap except make lots of noise.

Although I don't completely agree with that statement on a turbo vehicle, I want one purely for the sound. Lol. My speed6 sounded awesome with a real cold air. An open filter will be even louder.

So there are no intakes on the market that will work with the 2012 maf? That's just disappointing!
