I'm getting pretty close to pulling a trigger on a Tune. I want some more details about fully custom or just custom tunes through the mail. My wife is absolutely going to kill me when I tune this thing...I already told her, "Don't ask things you don't realllly want to know".

Geno or Geoff,
Having studied the dyno charts looks like best bang for the buck lies in the tune with the cat back exhaust. Huge gains through the rev range. My question is why the peak numbers are not more 320 vs 341. I realize you didn't change the displacement or add a larger cams but shouldn't the gains on top be more? Please educate me.

Also while we are at it does the Cat back exhaust come in a quieter version, I know a lot of folks like the extra noise and there are videos out there that highlight the extra noise but I am old. I am not knocking it but I want that performance without the extra decibels. I think the fact that the truck is so quite right now and makes so much power is awesome, I don't want to change that at all.

Top end hp numbers are low by comparison to other tuners but I think tq is higher than most. That is a good question especially since the intercooler adds 10ish hp and most others haven't dynoed with an intercooler.

I hear ya, Shaggy. Had the same thoughts. I just had the exhaust installed after work at a local shop, didn't feel like doing it in the drive way . Once complete they asked me to come to the bay and check for any leaks around the connection - i didn't even know the truck was running . Nice quiet low sound. I have the resonated version. Didn't have much time to take it for a run, will have a better thought tomorrow driving to work. To much rain right now.

I'm trying to understand why the final dyno chart says +300ft lbs & +175hp. I clearly understand that this at 3000 rpm. But what gains are being publicized when you buy the tune, intercooler, and exhaust? Someone please enlighten me. So the truck is 420 ft lbs to the crank stock and Full Race registered 520 to the wheels. So if you take the 420ft lbs with a 20% drive train loss that gives you a 84 ft lb loss transferring torque from the drive train to the wheels on a stock truck. Which in turn gives you 336 ft lbs stock to the wheels. So where is the 300 ft lb claim coming from if it is actually only a 184ft lb gain at most going off of the posted numbers, not at 3000 rpm

They're measuring against stock at off peak areas.

Can you show me exactly what numbers they are using? Lets compare apples to apples. Not off peak areas to stock. If you take their 520 rwtq and add the 20% drive train loss to calculate it back to the crank then that gives you 624ft lbs to the crank which is AWESOME!!! But that is still only 204ft lbs above stock. There is no other way to measure it unless I'm completely knowledge less and need lessons. I mean I have been using these calculations for many years and I know that I learned from the best tuners and mechanics around where I'm from. Someone please correct me and I will personally call all of them and tell them they are idiots. I'm just trying to learn here like everyone else

Dude, look at a stock dyno, slide left, or right, pick a low number, then compare to FR's. Its a numbers game. You're over thinking it entirely.
