One car making it 130k miles using a K&N doesn't prove much, for a number of reasons.

Furthermore, you didn't gain any hp with it, so what are you sacrificing longevity to gain?

Nice runs BTW.
well the info is appreciated, now i have to go and inform myself on everybodys opinions/and test results

Who cares, if you want to run that filter then go for it.

Congrats on the time, you got one fast truck.

I've seen countless motors both N/A and FI run K&Ns for over 150k miles with no problems.

What aftermarket filter would you recommend? Or would staying stock be the best option?

Amsoil makes a filter that has a smaller micron rating than stock, and also has less dP which means more power. Why make sacrifices when something like that is available?

And to the others, air filtration is a small part of the myriad of things that determine engine longevity. Thousands of lifetime smokers live to be 100 years old! That doesn't mean it's healthy.
