Heads up about the k&n....it lets tiny dust particles through until enough have been collected in the filter to stop letting them pass. Effectively sand blasting your turbos etc. might want to go with another filter. I can't confirm this myself...just what I've seen several people warning ecoboost owners concerning using k&n air filters.

dont want to b a dink but i put 160.000km(100,000 miles) on my last k&n filter in my 99 grand prix, never had any issues. Sold it to a local kid and @ that time had 215,000kms on it 2 years ago, and he is still driving it to this day with the same filter. so with all that this thread wasnt about k&n filters, and everybody is entitled to ther own prefrences

Furthermore, you didn't gain any hp with it, so what are you sacrificing longevity to gain?
Nice runs BTW.

My dad put 450,000 miles on his 98 f150 4.6 with a drop in kn, walmart brand synthetic every 10,000 and never touched the motor. It was filtering enough obviously, but i have heard this debate.
