I have a scangauge on mine, which is essentially the same thing. I've had it on two different trucks when I brought them in for warranty work. In both cases, the tech just asks what it is, then goes about his business. It's never been an issue.

EcoBoost ROCKS at altitude!!!
I just returned to the 107-degree Texas heat, after spending ten days taking my family on vacation - mostly in Colorado. The verdict - AWESOME mileage, AWESOME power, AWESOME truck, and AWESOME vacation!
Our Texas-NewMexico-Colorado trip netted 2,107 miles and my best tank of gas was 20.6 MPG. (Not bad for a nearly 3-ton 4x4 cruising at 77-80 MPH!) The end-of-trip average was 18.6 MPG, and that included several drives up steep mountain roads (sometimes in 4WD when raining) at elevations up to 12,188 feet.
To verify accuracy - I used (1) hand-calculations, (2) an Android app, (3) the factory "Lie-O-Meter" on the dashboard. I found the app to be dead-on, but the most interesting thing is that I got SLIGHTLY BETTER fuel economy than the dashboard readout indicated. The difference was negligible, so I'm going to trust the dash from now on.
In the rural areas of Texas, I was able to fill-up (once each direction) on Pure Gas [E0, or Ethanol-Free fuel]. The rest of the time was typical "E10" pump gas. I did use mid-grade (89 octane) most of the time.
