Ecoboost CAI Comparison

Opinionated Blowhard
I was convinced 12 years ago when I was modifying Mustangs that CAIs do nothing but lighten your wallet, look cool and make more noise in some cases. If you are trying to squeeze every last HP out of the engine (stock drag race class, for instance) then run 'em. Otherwise save your money.

You would only see a gain if in fact the factory intake tube wasn't flowing enough air to supply both turbos. There is nothing to be gained by giving each turbo its own individual supply tube, particularly since they end up necking down to the factory plumbing.

I think Geno said that they tested his afe and saw a gain (I dunno how big or small). I would still like to see a set-up that was equal in length and diameter, mirror imaged to both turbos. Larger piping to the turbo inlet and then necked down right before it.
There is litterally almost no room to do this though. I've seen a few dyno's that show a very small gain, but the power band was moved up...I prefer my lowend and quicker spool.
