BUT the block size is the same!

Is that even true? Displacement is the same but is the block size?

Yea he sorta neglected the 40 ftlb peak torque and 100 ftlb low end torque advantage the eb has.

Technically, the coyote 5.0 has a smaller block than the old one due to smaller bore spacing, but much larger cylinder heads.

Nothing against V8's of any kind...but...for towing, the low end torque of the EB is a wonderful thing. Had to laugh a bit, last weekend we had to pull the camper through a construction zone (60km/h) and the EB pulls the 5,500lb camper in 5th gear @ about 1,100rpm.....it's like a frigginn diesel!!

Lol. Clearly the new 5.0 is inferior to the old one because, you know, it's smaller!

People still think the old 5.0L(actually it was a 4.9L due to it's 4,942cc) is the same as the new 5.0L(4,951cc). I thought we debunked that myth a long time ago.

Who here thinks that ford purposely used the 5.0 designation because they figured that the same people who were scared of new application of existing technology, would also not realize that the new 5.0 is not the same engine as the old "proven" 5.0?

That is a very logical conclusion.
