Hi guys, well truck just isnt running right still. Talked to Mike at MPT today and he said my wastegates arent even working properly on my datalog. I get a quick surge of boost followed by pulsing surges of power until i let go of the gas. I looked at all hoses and all are connected and fine. Then i tested the solenoids at the bovs and the wastegate solenoid at the intake manifold and seem fine. They all open with power connected to them. So any help right now would be great as my truck barely is drivable

You could load up the OEM tune and see if the problem replicates or disappears. If it replicates under the OEM tune perhaps one of the vacuum hoses has a small crack? All I got.

Check voltage at the waste gate solenoid. According to the dealer that replaced my harness it should be 5v. I had a defective harness that was only putting out 1.8v and it caused it to surge and dump, surge and dump. Hope this helps.

Thanks ill give that a shot! Do you know how to test it? Can i disconnect the harness while the truck is running? I know my wastegates work i can blow air in the hoses and they open smoothly

I'm sorry, but I don't. Maybe there's a Ford tech that can chime in.

No still not running. Got another email from Mike today. After a new wastegate solenoid the logs showed the same thing he said. Wastegate duty cycle at 0% with 7psi on that log. I dont know what else to do. Truck was fine before the install too

Did you try loading the stock tune? Don't run it hard but see if you could data log is to see if the waste gates are working. That might help but makes no sense as I think the waste gates vent with excessive boost right? So how can it only be running 7psi and the wast gates not working. Almost like your loosing boost. I may be wrong but if they are made to vent say at 17psi and your only getting 7 wouldn't they not have to work or show 0%?

I just got a new tune from Mike that is stock but changed for my high flow y pipe. Ill data log that tomorrow. That 7psi is with a mild tune he gave because im having problems, its set for max 12psi but ive hit 14 psi with half throttle. Defiantly not losing boost it boost way too fast and hard
