I just took a a 3000 mile trip from Arkansas up to Iowa and then to up to Minnesota and back and averaged 17.4 mpg at 70-75 mph with a/c. On my 67 mile one way trip to work the other day I averaged 19.2 mpg traveling 64 mph without a/c. I am absolutely pleased with the mileage I am getting.

I have a 6.2l standard Lariat Screw with 18 inch wheels. On strictly trips I avg around the mid-17's when you are at highway speeds (65-75mph). My mixed driving at home with probably 20% city / 80% highway is at 15.5. I am pleasantly surprised that I am getting this good of gas mileage. I think the 18 inch wheels may help a bit, but either way, I love this truck.
4000 miles on mine so far and not one issue.

Things I love are the Sony Nav....didnt think much of it when I ordered it, but the Nav and the backup camera for towing my boat is great. Throw in a nice sounding stereo, I really think this option is worth it.

If I dont lead foot it (hard to do), I can get ~14 in the city and 16.5-17 on the highway. Not too horrible, I've seen as low as 11.86 (I have an app for tracking gas/expenses/etc), but that was having some fun too. lol

Not too bad for a big truck, big motor, and 22"s. I'd love better mileage, but I'd also like a few million dollars and Jay Leno's garage.

I typically dont let it get below half a tank though cause it just hurts too much to fill it from empty.

The Raptor was out of the question because of the poor gas mileage on the sticker but now that I've read this thread.... I have to reconsider! I may never be able to make a decision on what to buy.

FORD has really raised the bar on gas mileage with these 4 new engines - kudos!

Don't flame too much, but isn't Chevy at 15/21 in the 4x4 for their V8?
