5 Star Ecoboost Tune Reviews

Keepin' the lights on!
My truck shifted a little rougher with the 5* 87 t/p, SCT was smooth. The main difference was when it shifted. Both of them were good but different. As far as the mileage thing goes, something does change at about the 1000-1500 mile mark. For me the engine doesn't quite know what to do with the boost. I'm hoping that the newly installed TSB will help with this.

Correct. 3.55s. Also my shifting was rough stock & initially with tunes after driving a while, but ok now since Mike updated the tunes. Also, my tranny failed & they put a new one in, stock mode it was smoother than the old one stock. I noticed on repair order they updated pcm shift strategy.

I had planned on ordering from 5* before Christmas but now I'm debating. Seems like there are alot of tick tack issues lately. Granted the percentage of people with issues is probably low. IDK?

all my issues were taking care of, mostly operator error ...works like a champ now

I love my tuner from 5 Star. I have no problems with my tunes from 5 Star! Great company to deal with. I just wish I didn't have to return the truck to stock to switch tunes. I believe that may be an SCT issue.

I never return the truck to stock when switching tunes. Who told you that you had to return it to stock?

Nobody did. It won't switch tunes unless I switch it to stock. I tried it several times and it will say it is loading the new tune and then when it is done the old tune is still loaded. (Ex. 91 Performance only to 87 Economy) very obvious that the performance tune is still installed. The tuner even says the old tune is installed when checking tuner info.
