Probably the tune. It seems that the 5.0 under light acceleration and slight grades or hills will ping/chatter under that load condition. my truck is a 2012 and did it on the stock tune a few times. I currently have a set of SSI tunes and am waiting on a revision. my 93 tune did the same thing. I recorded it with the preset datalog configuration, but do not know how to get it off of the X4 onto the computer, any hints fellas? The X4 and data logging is totally new to me so I do not really understand what to do. The X4 instructions doesn't tell you how to download to the computer. I returned my truck to stock and no more chatter, still on 93 gas.

While i am waiting on my revisions from SSI, I went a head and checked for updates on my X4 while I was at stock. Then I loaded the SCT 93 can tune. Decent fun and absolutely no chatter. Set shifts to a little firmer and no torque reduction. Still doesn't compare to the SSI 87 Gen2. Just a hold me over until i get the revisions. On the can tune there doesn't seem to be any torque converter lock up at all.

I have MPTs 91 performance street, 91 performance race, and 91 tow chill. I haven't loaded the tow tune because I haven't needed to. For a N/A motor with a tune only I can honestly say I felt a damn good power increase. I was impressed, the truck feels stronger. Throttle response is improved and I really feel like that's what you feel until around 4k rpm, 4-6500 rpm pulls MUCH stronger and the transmission tuning is an absolute world of difference. I run the performance street most of the time but occasionally the race. I love the street shifting. Very driver friendly but when you have the skinny pedal any where close to the floor the shifts are nice and firm and will bark 2nd no problem. Sorry for the long winded reply but hopefully it can help someone.
