Exactly.

Beer, Boats, and Trucks.
So because I make a totally logically comment, I work for Ford? Ford has very strict CAFE requirements they are fighting to achieve and a turbocharged v8 truck would be nothing but detrimental to that.

No one will know of a V8 EB until it possibly happens with the 2018 /2019,Ford is being very tight lipped about numbers on the 2018 5.0 V8 and this secret new 4.8 V8.Theres a market for a V8 EB.
Ford also said 4 years ago when asked about a small diesel "We don't believe there is a market for a small diesel" 4 years later (2018 ) Ford offers a small diesel.
Anyways,no hard feelings,we just agreed to disagree.
It's all good.Were family

We may get a hint sooner than that. There has been quite some rumors that the upcoming gt500 will have a twin turbo v8. It's a fairy common marketing tactic to release an awesome engine in the ultimate performance car to get everyone excited, then offer a detuned version in the common vehicle. That way, every redneck can claim "it's the same engine that's in that thar gt500!"

You didn't make a comment, you made a bold statement that carries no weight (no offence).

What would that price the f150 at? Maybe one ton category? It's not financially realistic to put that much power into this power train.

Despite the fact that a V8 EB very well has the potential to be an absolute animal,Ford would still make it pretty conservative (for a V8 EB anyways) for reliability, probably 450hp/500+tq.

You really need a car differential (low gear ratio) in all of the models to get good mileage an if you drive easy (a lot of 45-55 mph non stop stuff you will love all of them. Then it comes to sound and the motor options available in your dream truck. If you have to have a truck axle ( high gear ratio) expect to loose several miles per gallon which ever motor you choose. If you gotta hear it than you just gotta have it. You just use lots higher RPM's than the EB's need to get the same stuff going up hills and also the 10 speed's availability also has a taller 1 gear than the six speed taking advantage of the even more gutsy power line ups of next years motors.
