Nope, that's what everybody is getting. Ford sure pulled the wool over EPA's eyes on this one.

Ok quick question. Is everyone using what it says on the mpg average on the dash or are you clocking it the old fashioned way(filling up and dividing). I didn't even realize the info on the truck had a mpg average so I clocked it the old fashioned way.

I will go out on a limb by saying that so far, my computer has been dead on in regards to the Trip A info. So accurate, that last night it was down to the tenth when it said 20.6, gas pump stopped at exactly 20.6. Afterwards I of course rounded it up dollars wise, and 21 gallons. Sadly, I have faith in the aweful overall 15.6 MPG that I have gotten, and worse, 14.8 since owning it. Calculated the "old fashioned" way and it came out the same. So far, I haven't seen over 330 miles on 21 gallons of gas.

Im getting less than 16 mpgs on all my trips. I avg'd 15.6 on a trip from Dallas to Pueblo, CO with cruise control on the whole time, top speed 75 mph. It's so frustrating to read about guys getting 20+mpgs in the SAME truck! I recently read about the trailer sway control issue. I haven't driven enough with the TSC off to notice any difference yet. Just wondering if anyone else knows about this or has had any luck overcoming bad mpgs.

I took the truck into the dealership a couple weeks ago before my trip to pueblo and they didnt have an answer to my MPG problems.

Im driving a 2011 F150 Screw FX4 EB, 3.77 and 5.5 bed with 2" level.

Is TSC a known issue? If so what is it?

Apparently, Trailer Sway Control is always turned on, regardless of whether youre actually towing anything. It applies braking to the rear tires when the truck detects sway or roll in the body of the truck to counteract the swaying motion. Some F150 owners have said that they've seen drastic improvements in gas mileage (from 16 to 20+mpgs) AFTER disabling the TSC in the center display under 'Settings.' You have to turn the feature OFF every time you start up the truck.

That being said, if that's the case, why dont all similar model trucks get the same MPGs with TSC on or off? Why would I have to turn it off in my truck to get the same results as others (IF the TSC issue did actually improve mileage). I understand people's driving habits are different and different ethanol blends affect mileage too, but 5-6 mpg difference? C'mon...

Just did a 2000 trip from AZ to Nebraska this past week, got 19.3 going East and 17.8 returning with strong winds. 2530 total miles on truck. Did 5 over the speed limit where possible.
