These trucks are not all equal. I can set my cruise at 60MPH and cannot get more than 16MPG. I reset the display after I set the cruise at 60MPH and drive 50 miles strait with the cruise set at 60MPH and I can't break 16MPG.

It seems some of the ecoboost trucks get 20MPG and some get 15MPG under the same conditions.

I have my B Trip set from the day I picked it up. So far 4,000 mi and avg 17 mpg according to the computer. My high is 25 mpg on about a 75 mile run on a flat-rolling 2 lane road between 50-55 mph. Worst is towing at 10.5 mpg. I'm going on a 1,000 mile round trip from E. TN to Northern Indiana in a couple of weeks, mostly Interstate. Looking forward to mpg on that trip.

During the last 12 months there have been about 4 changes to Gasoline (all grades) as we know it.

For a token sample Google these items:

Ethanol Scam

Ethanol Fuel

Over Blended Ethanol

Over Blending Ethanol

Your political candidates name (any party) + Ethanol

(you will find there are only two not a part of the Ethanol Fraud)

EPA fine 2012

http://fuelfix.com/blog/2012/01/12/epa-to-fine-u-s-gas-producers-6-8-million-for-not-using-nonexistant-fuel/

This is merely a transfer of money. It should be easy to figure out who is losing on this. Both in money and in damage to everything that runs on gas.

The point is this: It use to be just a year ago regular gas was regular gas and was basically the same everywhere. But in January 2012 the Regular Shell gasoline you buy at one staton is NOT the same that you buy at another Shell station (or any other station) and it is becoming more common the "Up to 10% Ethanol" on the label is not true.

Holy smokes! At a constant 60 mph, I'm knocking on 30 mpg. Are you sure you're not running E85?

Me too on a warmer day anyway even running crappy winter ethanol blends my 60mph cruise numbers are high 20s.

Now cold weather and crappy gas as I've reported on the other thread >3mpg less across the board than summer numbers. From 17/22 to 14/19 on average. I still think that sux to be THAT different but not as bad as your numbers and my H/W speed is generally 65-75.

There could be something legitimately wrong with your truck if you can't beat 16mpg at 60mph. Now, 60mph into a 40mph headwind could be problematic.

Or lift kits and 35 inch tires?

I am sure.. I have tried gas from different stations with the same results.
I test drove an ecoboost and a 5.0 before ordering mine and driving them hard I got better than 18.

Set the cruise on a 20 mile trip up I-180 and avg. no better than 17.3mpg at 24 degrees and tailwind? Saw closer to 16.4 mpg most of the time, the instant was at 17.3, still haven't seen better than 15.0 overall avg. lifetime out of my truck? OOooo well, can't believe ANOTHER ECO MPG thread, can't say a "search" didn't yield any results out of this topic LOL!!

If gas was $2 a gallon or $.75 a liter there wouldn't be any gas milage threads. It would be pedal to the metal and fill when needed

I did a 100+ mile trip this weekend. Speed set at 65mph (speed limit), 53 miles one way and 53 miles back. There was a stretch of trip that was 34-45 and many stop lights. I averaged 19.9 over the entire trip.

SuperCrew, Ecoboost, 3.73, 5.5' box, 93 octane
