3.5 ecoboost MPG

i once got 22mpg avg on a trip from nashville to detroit.
20K later, If i get 17, I'm tap dancing.
I was finally tired of all of the tire issues that I had with the stockers ( vibes, nail magnets, etc), so I went to nitto 295/70r18s. I also upped to an e.
I've literally given up on ANY satisfaction from Ford whenever I report an issue. ( they sort of chuckled at the MPG loss at my local dealership)
I could wipe my *** with my extended warranty and get more use out of it. so far any issue that I've had, The truck went to the dealer twice, then I got frustrated and fixed the problem myself. ( my time is worth more that dicking around with mongoloid service managers).
SO, I opted to start doing whatever I wanted to the truck. So far I'm working on the suspension. Next will be the motor.
I also think a large degree of all of the MPG Loss, shuddering, etc is due to a combination of a crappy torque convertor and awful shift strategy. The shifting gets better when using a tune, but the torque convertor still locks and unlocks like it has Obsessive compulsive disorder. ( like turning a doorknob three times before actually opening the door.)
My Father in law was a ford retiree after working 53 years for them. I think he would have driven this thing into the river by now. I also know that he'll forgive me when i never buy another Ford again, regardless of getting z plan.

Back from Fla. AVG. coming home was 22.1. Overall Avg. coming, and going was 21.2 Very pleased with mileage. A/C on all way home. Hard to find gas down south without ethanol (10%) mixed.
