wow. I need to bring mine in. It has the chirp/noise that one person has had fixed by fixing the tensioner from what I understand. Hopefully it doesn’t go the route that yours did

Apr 4 2019 8062 - 2018-2019 F-150/Mustang - 5.0L - Chirping Noise From Engine Compartment At Idle
Some 2018-2019 F-150 and Mustang vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine may exhibit a chirping type noise from the upper right side of the engine at a warm or hot idle. This noise may sound similar to a front engine accessory drive (FEAD) chirp noise. If the noise persists with the FEAD belt removed and is isolated to the front cover area, this noise may be due to the primary timing chain tensioner. This noise will not result in any engine durability concerns. Do not attempt any repairs at this time. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.

I had the noise that the TSB was supposed to fix. The TSB did not fix it and the noise eventually evolve to a chirping noise as described in the latest TSB. In the meantime I was having oil consumption issues and an oil consumption test was performed. Sometime during the oil consumption test Ford released a TSB for 5.0s consuming oil. My truck has 6,000 miles and is now getting a new engine due to oil consumption. I don't know the TSB number, but apparently it was released March 1st 2019. I'll be curious to see if my new replacement engine still has the chirping noise. Incidentally, I also have a popping sound when I let off the throttle. It almost sounds like a backfire through the intake. Mine is a 2018 manufactured in September 2018. Monitor your oil level folks, if you see signs that it is losing oil. If so, take it to the dealer for an oil consumption test. Mine had used 1.5 quarts in less than 1000 miles.

My engine (2018 F150 5.0) has the "Ticking" noise when accelerating. I have had the TSB performed (No resolution), engine has sense been tuned (Oz tuning, No resolution), and I run 93 oct. fuel too. I swear it sounds like spark knock, but just hope the engine holds up. All I can do is drive it........

That guy
Same issue in my 2020 F150 5.0 has 10,234 Mi
I have the cam phaser ratcheting noise most notable when cold. Happens on the decel at low to mid RPM levels. Fortunately, no excessive oil consumption.
I don't really feel alarmed by it but I would like to see if you guys had noticed any longer term impacts from the cam phaser ratcheting?
Also, have any of you tried different engine oil and noticed an impact on the noise (worsening or improvement? Maybe with full synthetic, synthetic blend, or potentially using 0w20 vs 5w20
