Dont forget the coolant level as others suggested! Also,is this all the time? or just certain ambient temps outside?

Just for grins, disconnect the battery for 15 minutes then do re learn process on startup and see if something resets.

In Houston traffic yesterday, mine was regularly switching between the 2 speeds, but the temp was over 95 and humidity was high also.

We went into a grocery store and came out and passed a guy in a Platinum, I was glad to hear his soaring also!

Sounds like yours may be normal?

So playing in forscan i found this. Electric fans ramp to 100% at peak pressure, and shut off at the low pressure. Cycling over and over and over......

I need to get a real set of gauges but this pressure seems excessively high

It hasn't been ramping up with the AC off. Only with AC on.

Cant read that chart.

Yesterday in Houston, the display indicated 95 degrees. Driving home, the fans were on high in most of the rush hour traffic. I reached down and turned the AC off, fans remained on high. A little while later with ac on, I exited the freeway and got on to side roads with more speed, fans ramped down.

Heard and saw several other makes of other vehicles (while in a parking) lot with their fans soaring. For me, I think they are operating (annoyingly) as designed.

Peak pressure was 2876 kPa, Low got down to 1446 kPa. I just found this in FORScan, a set of gauges will give better information I am sure.....

This was in the dark at 75F. It also does it at 25F in the winter time.

If I converted those numbers correctly, they come to 204/398! That can't be right!

Did you say this system was evacuated and recharged by weight to specs?

This is the first I have investigated it. We have a A/C recharge cart back home that I can use, is the lbs of R134A listed under the hood? Manual?

I found one Motorcraft PDF that says 24 oz / 680 grams.

I'll throw a set of gauges on it today.
