Some tuned some not. Also there are a lot of failures of the piston skirts breaking off. Do a seach over there for Blown and you'll be amazed at the amount of threads that come up.
I'd be curious to know if any of you with blown motors had a weep hole drilled in the CAC? A lot of people are saying this happens from water ingestion which can lead to hydrolock.

Did you have any warning before the engine blew, like a knock? My 2011 3.5 just started knocking and I am getting conflicting information from different places. One shop says it's a rod knock in the low end and the engine is shot. Another thinks that the timing chain and cam phasers are bad and that is what is causing the knock. Anyone have a similar problem?

No tick or knock i just made a u turn truck shifted to 2nd 30 mph and bang smoke and fire shooting out the engine
Today i talked to Ford my 6 year 60k extended warranty was moved up to 7 year 75k so im covered this was great news $ 100 deductible
