Thumbs down Thinking about custom tunes from PHP...think again.

Here is my experience with Power Hungry Performance.

Ordered Edge CS in March. 2 weeks later no programmer. I email and email and email and finally Corey responds a week later. They put my order in the wrong pile (nice) and it never got ordered. So I receive my programmer end of April and send them my HEX code and SN from my Edge. Wait until end of May when Cody who was great emails me back and says he's done with my custom tunes and all I'm waiting on is for Bill to upload the tunes. It's now almost August still no tunes. Still no replies to my weekly emails to Corey and Bill. I call Tuesdays and Thursdays and no one ever answers. I did email Cody who immediately responded with "It's out of my hands and there is nothing I can do". At this point I will take off my CAI and just use canned tunes as this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I do not believe that this is worth it. If you are thinking of going custom tunes I would look elsewhere and forget the Gryphon/Edge CS or CTS. The problems at PHP are extensive as they can't even take care of customers in a timely manner. 5 months and no tunes I think 3 months is about as far as my patience goes. This goes as a warning to those thinking of getting custom tunes. Do not put yourself through this. Look to another supplier for custom tunes.

WOW! That Sucks! Sorry to hear that. Even three months is way to long. "It's out of my hands and there is nothing I can do". You got to be kidding me...I'd keep calling and bust'en *****. Thanks for the heads up.

I can never get through on the phone. They used to respond to facebook comments. Tried that too but they just get upset about "rude" customers. How dare we ask for something we paid for in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm sure this post may be deleted for bashing PHP but I think people ought to have good information about a vendor before making a purchase. Anybody can reply with whatever experiences they have had with PHP. I have read numerous posts on their forum/facebook/other forums about how horrible their experiences were trying to get custom tunes from this company. I would be happy with my money back at this point.

PHP isn't a vendor on here. And you are more then welcome to post up your experiences with any company, which in your case, obviously was negative. Just long as it doesn't turn into group bash session....

But yes, I've heard of the same issues with PHP and while many people rave about the tunes themselves, I would never order one from them simply because their customer service is so lacking.

I've had the same issues....for about 7 months just can't get the tunes right. When running with PHP 87 octane mileage tune...my mileage drops by over 2 mpg!! Torque converter stays open as well!!! It's been a nightmare.

What makes it most frustrating is there is almost never anyone to answer email or the phone.

You are not alone... Many guys are in the same situation as you... I would suggest that you go to their Facebook page or go to their forum and post there... I ain't defending them by any means and I haven't requested tunes for my CS yet so I don't know how you feel... Maybe one of those two sites can give you some answers...

These types of experiences are the main reason I have not sent my Edge in yet for custom tunes. I hope they take care of you OP but Ive come across too many of these kinds of posts about PHP to think any different. Good luck.

Wow... I was just about to order some tunes from them. Guess I need to look some place else.

Who else makes tunes for the CS?
