Benefits are improved power, throttle response and shift strategies.

Only if you have enough self control to keep your foot out of it. I am not that strong willed.

I roll with SCT and 5* as well as MPT custom tunes. Really woke her up and she drives like a sports car.

They have tunes for better mpg's, but really why waste the time and money looking for that. If you can drive some what consistently from stop, & go(not WOT),..... even with a 87 grade performance tune you can see 1-2 mpg better in over all mileage.

I have an SCT Livewire on my '11 Lariat with the 6.2. I have Performance and Tow tunes from both 5-star and MPT. Like the guys said, as long as you can keep your foot out of it, your overall MPG should improve. During the Spring, Summer, and early Fall I will get an average of 1-2 mpg improvement over the stock tune. But, this time of year with the winter blend fuel, and morning warm-ups...................not so much. I'm on the 93 Oct. canned tune at the moment and my average MPG has dropped. But I also know that come spring time it will get back to normal.

I just got my SCT iTSX with 5 Star tunes. I'm running the 93 Performance/Tow tune and all I can say is good luck keeping off the gas. Hopefully after I've had it a few weeks I can lay off the throttle.

Drives like a completely different truck. I can't believe I waited 2,900 miles to get it.
