I plasti dipped my Corvette wheels. Worked well. Required touch-up from time-to-time, but worded well. Would do it again.

I did my grill and emblems on my last truck, looked just as good a year and a half after I did it through an ohio winter and salt. Have also done wheels and still looked good after a year, I used the glossifier on both. Was a pain to get off the wheels but soaked in wd40 and used a power washer.

Also, gives the truck a completely different look. If you don’t like it, just peel it off!

Dang that looks good! I wanted to replace all the chrome parts on my truck but this looks like a good alternative...

Appreciate it! I was in the same boat but I couldn’t justify spending $500 on a front bumper and another couple hundred for the back so I opted for a couple $5 cans that I can peel off if need be. Holding up well so far and I kind of like the contrast against the body color and of course matching the wheels, door handles, etc.

I did the same thing. PlastiDipped the chrome bumpers and grille black. Dipped the F150 badge red. Changed the wheels, and dipped them as well. It's all holding up great so far.

I was quoted just under $1,000 but the parts only come primed so I would have to figure out a way to paint them (at an additional cost of course)

suddenly the chrome isn’t so bad lol

I did my last car's wheels. Held up great, I used 5 cans to do the 4 wheels, not sure how many coats it ended up being, I just kept going until I was out. It lasted 3 years+ including Michigan winters. There was very minor edge peeling when I traded it in for my truck, but it wasn't horrible. Prep is key, and the more coats the better!
