Heath,
This ought to be a good future project for one of your engineers. Come up with an aftermarket solution to protect the rails. I know that I'll come up with some sort of solution for this. But I won't know until I get the remaining pieces. I have the panels, still unopened in my foyer. I'll be hiding it tomorrow so my son doesn't realize he's getting one too. After I get it installed, I'll post pics as well. The soonest I'll install, depends on the amount of math homework.

So a few days ago you were angling for a marketing position, now you're in queue for the Director of Product Development? Please let me know what you cook up.
An idea we have suggested in the the past to customers who want to protect the inner edge of their guide rails when loading firewood, etc is to buy some lengths of that black foam pipe insulation that is split down one side. It has the feel of Nerf material. It fits well over the inner edge of our guide rails and effectively protects the seal, the inner edge and part of the top surface. Light, inexpensive and easy to deploy when needed.

Add me to the list Order placed just a few minutes ago.
Heath, if you could please make sure that my order be charged in full now so I may receive it as soon as possible and I'll wait for a credit later if and when we reach the right number of people. My order# is 75061 if that will make it easier.
Thanks!

We've got it - thank you!
We charged your order in full this morning and it looks like we'll be able to get your cover shipped this afternoon. Once it arrives, please don't hesitate to let us know if you need anything - we'll be here to help.
I'm double checking with BISCUT to see if an order was placed already and we just need to flag it or if the order is about to be placed. So I'm not sure if we're at #6 or #7, but I'll keep you posted!

I think you'll love the BedRug. I've had one in my last three trucks and I wouldn't be without one. Keeping it clean just takes a shop vac or occasionally I borrow my wife's Dyson...shhh. I like the fact that it not only protects my truck bed, but it also protects my cargo - it's a nice, padded surface to haul furniture etc on. I've hauled plenty of loads to the landfill on it and other than a few stains, it still looks great.

A few good ideas on the firewood hauling issues.
1. Glad to know that the guides can be removed without removing the rails.
2. The foam insulation is a great idea, that had never crossed my mind.
3. Cut plywood template is another great idea. I never considered it before because I never really had a reason to.
The last time I hauled firewood (slabs from a local mill)....see attached.

Well, just as I suspected, all remaining packages of my first cover and second cover came on one truck delivery at a time my oldest son was present to see it. Well, I don't believe he saw it and I just made it look like they're all part of one for my truck. All in all, I have both covers and will begin installation just as soon as I get a chance. The heat is unbelievable. And I'm already sick. So, I'm hoping for Friday to be my installation day. I'm stoked.
Well, Heath, a little secret I rarely mention to people is a career move that some might thing to be a bad move. But in order to understand why I made the decision I did, you'd have to know my family, my family situation and my faith belief.
8 years ago I was being recruited for a Junior VP position with a local Mapping/GIS firm. Those little boxes you call GPS... well that's up my alley. I would have been the VP of production in a frim that spanned several states and cities within. There was way too much travel for my family situation. My brother was the owner of his own Yacht Brokerage in Florida. He love it, but he also ended up ruining his marriage and children's life. Ultimately, he put all of his energy into is company and when I fell, he didn't know how to pick himself up. The rest is far to distressing to discuss. I am a production manger. I'm a project manager. I do things like that for fun these days. I'm a home dad now becoming a math teacher. We do not have family to pick up kids, take them to appointments, etc. and my wife wanted to get out of the home ASAP.
Long story short, I have a lot of ideas, but only throw them around now. God willing I will return to work within a few more years. But only after raising my kids to a point I don't have to worry about perverts trying to kidnap them. So that's why I gave it all up. Rather than go the VP route, I chose a move down, because it was stable, paid well, and got me home at night earlier than I was accustomed to. When they tried to throw a bunch of money at me in hopes to motivate me to work longer hours, I turned in my notice. Someone has to pick up kids from school.

A strong marriage with parents who are committed to raising their children in a loving home is priceless - something no career could replace. Good move.
I'm looking forward to hearing how your install goes on Friday! If you need anything in that process, please let us know - we'll be here.
