Doesn't matter if you live in a winter state or not, or a salt state or not !
Nor does it matter the brand/maker it'll all start to rust chip away within 2 years !
If you want them to last any decent length of time then they NEED to be Rhino Lined sprayed or whatever your company chooses to call it, it's that simple !

i think that's the problem, people expect garbage. The entire propose of this thread really had nothing to do with the rust. It is about a company offering a warranty that they are not willing to honor. If we expect rust in 2 years and don't hold them to the 5 years they say then they can offer whatever they want knowing most people will never hold them to it.
maybe I'm old school, or just old, but I believe you stand behind your word, period.
Helped a friend install a set of NFab bars on his Silverado a couple years ago...they had welded a LH mount on the RH bar so we had to modify his truck body to get them on. Pretty good QC going on there.
He sold the truck since then so I don’t know how they were holding up to our salty roads.
Ya, its too bad. A lot of stuff looks nice, but if its carbon steel, it will look like crap after one winter in the salt and stone chips. If it doesn't say stainless steel, you are going to have to buy new every few years. Check out GEM Tubes. All our stuff is stainless steel and lifetime warrantied...even the black powdercoated.
