They actually rust from the inside out, I had nfab's linex coated and installed in 2012 an this is what the looked like in 2018 as u can see the linex peeling off the step and the main tube between steps, last summer the steps fell off . So I bought another set but single step but will be drilling and oiling these pair, will see how they last this time. Good old Ontario winters with all the salt and brine on the roads.
