And agreed on the tuner, SCT or Livernois are by far the two best brands for the Ecoboost tuning.
Guys when the trucks are stock the gains are minimal for a CAI but when we start adding performance products and more power the CAI does add some good gains and the more boost the better the gains are. Its hard to put a number on it but the CAI's are one of the "free power" mods I always recommend. But again on a stock tune truck it is minimal.

I agree, CAI can only do little with stock setup, everything has to come together to compliment each other.

Did franchi recommend the itsx? A couple of months ago they pulled it off the market for the Eco because the tune files were so large they had issues maintaining/transferring the file. Has this changed franchi?
If it has... I'll be selling my X3 and my vivid linq (use the vivid linq to monitor things and run 0-60s) to by the TSX!

Nope, I liked the apple/android idea, so I thought I should give that a try

You may want to ask franchi before it ships.... its still not available for the ecoboost on SCTs website. When I asked Franchi why it was on his website he said it was because it was available for the ecoboost at one point but SCT pulled it off the market and he hadn't pulled it off his site yet... the other thing is, the biggest benefit of the SCT is that there are a bunch of custom tune writers for the ecoboost platform (I.e. SoCal, unleashed, MPT, 5*, ect) the iTSX is not capable of holding "custom" tunes... so you only get the "canned tunes" that come with it. You ask anyone who has gone from canned tunes to custom tunes, it like going from stock to tuned all over again... big gains going to custom from canned... and they can adjust it to your prefrences (I.e. shift points and pressure, driveability, adjustments for modifications, and performance)! I've had canned tunes and the custom tunes blow them out of the water! You may want to question that order with franchi and maybe switch to the livewire.... I have what the TSX offers but I'm using the SCT X3 to load my tunes and the Superchips Vivid Linq for the blue tooth connectivity for PID read outs and performance test (0-60, 1/4mile, ect)

And if you get a CAI....try to find one the covers the filter so you're not sucking hot air from the engine bay. My AIT (air intake temp) increased by a bit with my 1st CAI and I lost a couple of tenths in the 0-60 but I bought a diifferent one that had a partial cover/heat shield and I had no power loss (no gains either though, it does sound better)

As far as exhaust try to find something with dual pipes... I've heard both single and dual and I find that the dual has less of the V6 "drone" than the single systems I've heard (was able to hear a few in person at "Scrapin' the Coast" back in June)

Another thing to help you out... find what you're looking for then search the part number or product name on Amazon.com, pretty much everything on my truck was purchased on there with no tax and no shipping charges.... there are multiple vendors on there competing for business... generally the prices on there haven't been touched by anyone. I've even copied and pasted some part #s from autoanthing and bought from amazon because the price was significantly better.

SCT just finally released a big update to the iTSX #4015 this week so it does now support the Ecoboost F-150. They dont have it built into their vehicle search product page as that always seems to take em forever to update but they do have a page on their website showing the firmware release just done adds tuning support for the 2011 - 13 Ecoboost F series, 11-12 6.7 Powerstroke and 13 Focus ST.

And the iTSX #4015 does handle custom tuning as well along with the preloaded tunes.
