Just purchased Truck Gear by LINE-X tonneau Cover

My tri-fold cover is a BakFlip F1 rebranded under the Line-X name. The difference? It was similar MSRP (maybe $100 more), but it came with a lifetime warranty as opposed to a three year warranty from BakFlip. (Though the BakFlip F1 on sale on their website right now).
I went with Line-x because I was getting spray liner done at same time and they gave me a bundled price for installation/spray/cover. I didn't feel like installing it myself. I also liked the lifetime warranty because any cover I've ever seen, they always appear broke to me after a few years. Small sample size, but I know two people who have broken ones right now.

So it would be enough for me to read about Bakflip F1. In fact, I had one question about that particular cover. I do not like the idea of the cover touching the rear window when fully folded. I think I saw that F1 has some sort of supports that hold it when folded. Am I right?
Thanks!

I was always skeptical about "lifetime" warranties (especially in Quebec, where consumer protection is quite weak). But, at the same time, it does seem to me that Line-X cares about its image. And since I am going to spray the truck the idea of a bundled deal seems worth exploring. If it gets close enough to the best price on F1 I can find - why not

Also, the latest model (I got this in November) has a different trim piece on the end of the cover, where it meats the tailgate. My co-worker bought same model a few months prior and her metal stops short, then has rubber meeting the tailgate. Mine has the metal all the way to the tailgate and the rubber seal is on the underside. This is good because less potential for rubber seal to fail from dryrot or wear and tear. The sales person said this was a recent improvement they made in Q4 of 2016.
As far as the lifetime warranty, I agree as well. I brought it to the attention to my Line-X local store that he could close shop at any moment. The system is warrantied at ANY Line-X location. Ofcourse, company goes out of business and I assume you're out of luck, but same can be said for any type of un secured warranty. I viewed the risk as low and the value has a nice plus.

OP, still happy with your cover?

NIGHTMARE
I will be having my bed sprayed on December 2nd and will also be having their Tonneau cover installed at the same time.
Looking forward to having both done.

I paid $490 for the spray and $1195 truck gear or 1685 total, so I think its a good deal.
