Default Hail Protection

I'm considering hail protection for my truck. Does anyone have any experience with the various covers and can offer recommendations?

Interesting, I was thinking about that yesterday too , we had severe storms move through carrying high winds heavy rain and HAIL. Oh yeah and a few small tornados nothing terrible just enough to get you all keyed up for a while.
Now last year in May my three closest neighbors had roof damage, we only lost a tree.
Back to your original post. I don't think I've ever seen anything for hail protection besides a roof.

There are several companies out there offering padded blanket covers all the way up to inflatable tent looking shelters.

Last week they were saying that hail the size of golfballs could hit. I freaked because my truck could not be put under cover. I put some foam sheets, cardboard, and a tarp on my truck. I parked under two trees as well.

We never got any hail at all. I have never seen hail over the size of a very small pea around Western Washington state. But if it had come at least I tried something to protect my truck. What about carboard, and a tarp to cover for protection?

have you ever been hit by hail? a tarp and cardboard won't protect anything unless that cardboard is like 3-6" thick.

Go find some old trucking flatdeck tarps and double wrap the truck.

Add a few blankets and bubble wrap on the roof hood etc

Enjoy the storm.
