use MAF cleaner only (maf senses the airflow rate coming through the snorkel of the intake and adjust the engine setting accordinly)
the ecm is like otto said, it is the electronic brain of the engine that makes the changes the maf and other sensors read

But use MAF cleaner, you can find it at any parts store. do NOT touch the sensor inside of the maf. I gave mine short bursts of the cleaner. did not just soak it. between the bursts, I let the maf dry. make sure you have disconnected the battery cable before the cleaning the maf.

Hey guys I did the mod yesterday but I didn't sand it completely since about 2" fit into the well, It goes through the first opening is about a few small centimeters from going out the other end.

Question is, will that cause a suction problem? I could easily sand some more.

I don't think you should have any problems as long as its in there far enough and snug

The Gotts mod is a little different on an 09 to present and I read somewhere on here that someone did this mod on a 09 or 10 and they are afraid not that they are going to ruin their engine now? Can anyone verify this if it is true or not? I believe that the Gotts mod on a 2009 to present model is, you just pull the snorkel out of the airbox, no need to put it through the side wall?
