After doing this Mod several weeks ago I've had no issues to date. Turn signals still produce audible clicks. Low fuel light still comes on along with low fuel audible alert.

I just did this on a 15 150 3.5 eco screw, the first step the lower dash is different and some of the wires are different color than pictured.
The lower dash snaps off by pulling out at the top. Then there is a metal plate to remove. The rest is the same.
I'll try to load pictures, surprised the original ones still show since Photobucket crapped out.

Default 2017 & 2018

Did this mod on the wifes 2017 XLT and today on my 2018 XLT, most every thing the same except you don't need to drop the lower dash panel, take the 3 screws out of the ignition cover and pull it apart. The plug will be accessible by dropping the lower ignition cowling, hardest part is getting the pin to release the blue wire.
Thanks again for posting this mod

The key in ignition chime can be disabled with the Forscan program on the 2015+ so you don’t have to remove any wires.

Hey guys, I just got my truck, 2018 XLT 5.0 with 301A package. Pulled the blue/gray wire, and when ignition is on it gives a few chimes then stops. However, what I was aiming for is to have no chime when the key is in accessory position. I am nervous about doing a trial and error on the remaining wires in the plug, does anyone know which wire it would be to kill the accessory chime?

Thanks!

Looks like in earlier models the grey wire was the offender. Blue did it for you?

I disconnected the blue/grey wire in a 2014 Raptor and it didn't stop the chime with the key in the accessory position.

Any other ideas?
