I do not think this will work but would a truck bed cap for a 2008 fit a 2010?

I have been told no, but have never tried it. I think it is to do with the tail gate section. I just scored a 6mos old one in my color on craigs list for $800(1800 plus tax new). It is a leer and is loaded with most the options(auto lock, fold down slider, light, 12V, screens). I actually couldn't find one in my color so I started emailing the people's ads for a whole truck with a cap in my color. Just nicely asked if they would sell the cap separately or if the person buying the truck didn't want it, let me know(put your phone number in you email). I emailed 8 people and got back two responses. Pretty easy install. Had to run a wire to the engine compartment for the 3rd brake l light.
