because it wont skew the MAF meter and cause a CEL. It has a taper in the correct places so that laminar flow is not disrupted.

What do you think about adding the airaid intake tube and keeping the K&N drop in filter. Would that combination work? Do I need to purchase a tuner for it or can I run it like that? The reason I ask is that I have an 06 Scab XL that I am fixing up and have to spend the money wisely.

Got the Airaid intake tube and installed it today, Kept the K&N drop in filter and did the Gott's mod about a month ago. I can tell that above 50 mph it seems to run better, other than that it runs about the same. I am going to get the SCT tuner and see what that will do. It sure makes the engine look good.

That good. CAI's typically provide their benefit to the average driver above 3500 rpm. You setup will work perfect.

Have you decided what company you are going with?

For SCT products, the people with the most experience would be 1st off Mike Troyer of www.troyerperformance.com. 2nd would be Justin Starkey of www.VMPtuning.com. There are several other tuners out there but these two are the best known. I have VMP tunes and Troyer tunes ordered. Cannot go wrong with either of those two though.

The wait times will vary for the both of them depending on their workloads.

I was reading on another thread where you stated that F150's are borderline lean from the factory. Am I ok runing the setup I have until I get a tuner? I wont be able to get it until the end of March.
