Yes, I saw this on the MT site yesterday and thought it was a great read--very informative and interesting, as well as all the great action photos!
And yes, I think Ford is getting away from the Baja Sand Runner image for this truck and promoting the 'crawler' aspect much more. This is what I have enjoyed most (in off-road) over the years and have found many challenges in our local deserts and mountains.
Also, it is interesting to see how they have tweaked this truck over the past couple of years, making a good thing even better, with the new front axle etc.
With the new GPS Nav systems, you can venture out miles across the Mojave (or whatever desert) and not have to worry about getting lost; also another good reason to have a 36 gal. tank.
I love this truck, just wish it came with another engine option!!
